The original intent of LabTime was to record voltages, temperatures, pressures, etc in a plasma chamber where we were attempting to prove the Sun is electrically driven. My job was to display all possible information in a dashboard with charts, graphs, etc.
Two different friends then asked if I could develop an application for them. I realized that a solid implementation of MQTT could be the backbone for all three applications. So I set out to create a suite of programs (clients) that could implement a robust MQTT system, starting with the lab.
